DIVE into IVE’s First Full Length Album at Kawaii Gifts

April saw the release of plenty of exciting comebacks in K-pop, Starships’ IVE being at the forefront of them. Formed towards the end of 2021, IVE debuted with the release of Eleven, a single album met with praise and instant success for the rookie group and Starships’ first girl group since 2016. Consisting of disbanded IZ*ONE members Wonyoung and Yujin, and trainee’s Leeso, Liz Rei and Gaeul the group were destined for success.

Wonyoung and Yunjin first turned heads when they appeared on the survival show, Produce 48 leading to the formation of the temporary girl group IZ*ONE. The group would spawn hits like La Vie en Rose, Fiesta and Panorama. WIth the eventual disband of the group Yujin and Wonyoung would come together again in the formation of IVE. It was here they found a new home under Starship Entertainment.

Following their debut they quickly followed up with the release of LOVE DIVE, their 2nd single album. Another successful comeback for the rookie group, cementing their status as one of K-pop 4th Gen leaders. It was here that many saw the group were a force to be reckoned with and although still a newly formed group they have polished their skills and carved out a place at the table with the big groups of K-POP. '

After LIKE, the group’s 3rd single album further proved the group were here to stay. Winning multiple music show awards in South Korea and breaking records left and right. It was such a surprise to see a fairly new rookie group achieve such feats, IVE proved to even the biggest of haters it was possible.

With summer just around the corner the group announced a new comeback was on the way, this time the IVE’s first full studio album. This came to many surprises as a full album for a new group like IVE was not expected. I’ve IVE was released on April 10th alongside the title track I AM. The pre-release single Kitsch was teased to us back in March and now DIVES, the group's fan name, had 10 new songs perfect to add to any Summer Playlist.
